Bridgeton Walmart Temporarily Closes For Cleaning In The Event Of A Pandemic

BRIDGETON, Mo. – The Walmart store on St. Charles Rock Road is closing today for cleaning crews to disinfect the building. The temporary closure is part of a corporate store cleaning program.

“As you know, several parts of the country have started to see a further increase in positive COVID-19 cases, and we want to help health officials battling the pandemic. In support of this effort, we have chosen to temporarily close our Bridgeton store at 11900 St Charles Rock Rd today at 2pm as part of a company initiated program, ”part of the official statement from Walmart on closing.

The store will be closed on Saturday to give employees time to restock the shelves. Walmart will open the Bridgeton store on Sunday at 6 a.m. The company will continue to perform employee health assessments, and all unvaccinated associates should still wear face covers.

“Everything we do is for the well-being of our associates and the thousands of clients we serve daily, and taking into account advice from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and health experts. We will follow CDC guidelines, which include fully immunized people wearing masks in indoor public places in high or high transmission counties, ”part of Walmart’s official statement at the close.

Walmart also offers COVID-19 vaccines to customers and employees. They can put them in or out of the clock and receive two hours of paid leave. Employees have up to three days of paid vacation if they have an adverse reaction to the bite.
